Formed in 2012 the trust is dedicated to providing financial assistance to children and young people enabling them to gain that priceless asset - a lifetime of music appreciation and performance.
The trust gratefully acknoweldges the generosity of the Budleigh Salterton Music Festival who have provided start-up funding.
Those reading these pages may care to consider adding to our financial resources by donation to the charity or by sponsoring an individual young person. Contact us for further details as we develop our schemes and resources.
We are interested in adding to our database of accredited music teachers in Devon. If you teach an instrument or voice we wish to hear from you. If you are an aspiring teacher or student please also contact us for details of our scheme to interest suitable youngsters to take advantage of lessons. We wish to encourage the teaching of music, too, by assisting potential teachers to gain accreditation and then to set up a teaching practice of their own. Ask us for details.
The trust wishes to provide musical instruments for the use of youngsters on loan. A large proportion of music lovers who once played an instrument have specimens stored away against the day they will resume playing. We know and understand that these are often valuable in their own right and are always valued by their owners. Will you agree to lend us these? We will insure and take great care of them and you may have them back by giving short notice. Please ask for details of this loan scheme.
